August gives you a full month of working days. No federal holiday falls between the 3rd and the 31st, and Labor Day falls on Monday, September 7. As the person planning your company's corporate events, that leaves you a month of open dates to work with.
An end-of-summer gathering for your own team and a client-facing event are both worth getting on the calendar this month, while Metro's Summer BBQ and Summer Seasonal menus are still running.
Metro's Summer BBQ menu is available through Friday, September 11. An August date puts your team's event inside that window.
Confirm the date before anything else, then get a headcount from your team leads. Once you have both, the menu comes together fast.
Summer Sliders puts all four of these on a single display for $299.95:
If your office doesn't permit open flames, add the flameless set-up at $15.00 per set-up, four minimum. That way nobody on your side is sourcing chafing equipment on the morning of the event.
Some items require more notice than others. The 3 Foot Heroes, at $229.95 per 15 guests and served with coleslaw and potato salad, requires 24 hours. Read the item page for anything you're adding late in the week, so a Friday team event has its order in with room to spare.
For a client-facing event, your leadership is in the room and the food is part of what they're presenting. Summer Seasonal is the menu to order from.
If guests will be on their feet, the Summer Bites Hors d’oeuvres Display runs $399.95: Hawaiian Garlic Fried Shrimp Sliders with Cabbage Slaw, Grilled Peach, Prosciutto & Burrata on Crostini, Brisket Slider with Caramelized Onions and BBQ Sauce, and Bang Bang Chicken Skewer.
For a seated lunch, Garlic Butter Salmon, Sweet Chili Lime Sauce is $19.95 per guest with an eight-guest minimum, or $30.95 as a package with two sides and a Garden Salad. It is gluten-free.
Greek Vegan Chickn’ Skewers, Lemon, Oregano, Zucchini & Onion is gluten-free and vegan, at $16.95 per guest or $27.95 as a package. Ordering it alongside the salmon gives a guest with either restriction a full entrée instead of a plate of sides.
Both entrées carry an eight-guest minimum. For a smaller client lunch, that means ordering to the minimum rather than to the headcount. Price the event from the minimum before you take a budget to your leadership.
Ask the client's office for dietary needs at the same time you confirm the guest count, so the order goes in with them already accounted for.
August's first working day is Monday. Put the team event and the client event on the calendar now, then bring Metro's corporate events team your headcounts and a menu from the summer lineup. If the client event calls for porcelain platters, handcrafted wood trays and black linen instead of disposables, add Executive Presentation at $6.00 per guest.
