A First Look at Metro's Fall Seasonal Menu for Office Events

Metro's Fall Seasonal menu is available October 5 through December 30. As the person planning catering for your office's Fall meetings and events, you can build a full order from it: breakfast, sandwiches, salads, entrées, and dessert, with vegan and gluten-free dishes in several of those categories. This post goes through the menu meal by meal so you can match the dishes to your event and your guests.

‍

Breakfast Options for a Morning Meeting

Start with how your guests will eat. The Autumn Bites Grazing Board is a shared board of savory bites, including Garden Vegetable Cornbread Bites, Mini Cottage Cheese Muffins with Breakfast Sausage, and a Savory French Toast Cup with caramelized Onion, Bacon, and Cheddar. Guests can graze between conversations.

‍

For a seated breakfast, the Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes Buffet is a full hot spread: pancakes with cinnamon maple syrup, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, green onions, spinach, and mushrooms, chicken apple sausage, and home-fried country potatoes. Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes are also sold on their own, and they’re vegetarian.

‍

For something lighter, add Apple Cider Donuts, Roasted Tomato Tarte Salée, or the Challah Tartine, built with smoked French Ham, Shaved Gruyere, Caramelized Onion, Fig Butter, and a Fried Egg. Add Hot Apple Cider, brewed with fresh cinnamon sticks, for a warm drink.

‍

Lunch for a Working Meeting

Order Fall Seasonal sandwiches one sandwich at a time, so you can mix them across the table:

‍

  • Autumn Chicken Salad: chicken salad with walnuts, apples, dried cranberries, celery, and fresh tarragon. The portal flags it for nuts.
  • French Onion Bistro Turkey: fresh roasted turkey with caramelized onions, arugula, and Gruyere.
  • Steak & Brie: steak with baby arugula, caramelized onions, and fig jam.
  • The Vegan TLT: tofu, lettuce, and tomato with chili crisp vegan aioli. The portal marks it vegan.

‍

Pick two or three for a mixed table, and include The Vegan TLT so your vegan guests have a sandwich of their own.

‍

Greens and Grains for the Table

Fall Seasonal salads are side salads sold per guest, so you can add one or two to any lunch:

‍

  • White Cheddar & Apple: an autumnal greens mix with spiced walnuts, sharp white cheddar, scallions, and pomegranate seeds in a citrus vinaigrette. The portal marks it gluten-free and vegetarian and flags it for nuts.
  • Fall Farro: farro with shaved Brussels sprouts, butternut squash, diced apples, pomegranate seeds, and hot honey vinaigrette. The portal marks it vegetarian.
  • Shaved Brussels Sprouts Salad: shredded kale with matchstick apples, dried cranberries, and sunflower seeds in a maple mustard dressing. The portal marks it gluten-free and vegan.

‍

For a room with mixed diets, order two: White Cheddar & Apple for vegetarian and gluten-free guests, and Shaved Brussels Sprouts Salad for vegan and gluten-free guests.

‍

Entrées for a Full Plate

Metro sells each hot dish on the Fall Seasonal menu two ways, priced per guest: on its own, or as a package, which is the dish plus two sides and a Garden Salad. A package is a complete meal in one line of the order.

‍

Cauliflower Steak Au Poivre with crispy chickpeas in a green peppercorn and sunflower seed cream sauce is gluten-free and vegan. Swedish Chicken Meatballs have egg noodles and traditional brown gravy. Roasted Salmon with Wild Mushroom Ragout and Smoky Soy Sliced Brisket are two more entrées, one fish and one beef.

‍

For sides, choose Autumn Jasmine Rice, jasmine rice with butternut squash and dried cranberries that the portal marks gluten-free and vegan, or Garlic Butter Crispy Potatoes with fried shallots.

‍

Desserts and a Note on Hors d'Oeuvres

Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies are chewy oatmeal cookies stuffed with homemade salted caramel, and Toasted Cornflake Brownies are truffle chocolate brownies covered in caramelized cornflakes. The portal marks both vegetarian. Tell our team about any vegan, gluten-free, or allergy needs for dessert when you order.

‍

For an evening event, Fall Seasonal also has the Autumn Hors d'oeuvres Display, a large shared platter, and individual hors d'oeuvres sold in tens.
